I am taking many of my own personal cars and forming a non profit corporation called SAAB HERITAGE CAR MUSEUM USA for the purpose of Education and Preserving these cars as a group for future generations to enjoy.

This is a gradual process and many of these cars need restoration or are parts cars, but a few are very special and some are in “as new” condition. Many of these cars will soon be featured on their own page, including pictures.

MISSION STATEMENT 

“To preserve the Saab automobiles for future generations to enjoy and inspire the Spirit of Saab through repair education, parts production and a library of Saab literature.”

  • 1963 96 850 GT – I have 2 of these – One was my first ever SAAB!
  • 1964 96 850 GT with a Subaru pancake engine and automatic transmission.  The ORIGINAL “Saabaru!”

  • 1967 Sonett II  Two stroke – #104, Red and used as slave on my chassis dyno for my test engines prior to build of actual Chassis with #078 for the Salt.  Now has Bonneville documented +112MPH 940cc engine in it.
  • 1967 Sonett II  Two stroke – #172 in like new condition with 462 actual miles
  • 1967 & ’68 combo of Sonett II &V4.   Bonneville Land Speed record holder.  Two stroke 750cc
  • 1968 Sonett v4 – I have 2 of these
  • 1968 Sonett v4 “Race Car” – Must see this one!

  • 1970 Sonett III x3 (1 is the GMHC Blue car)
  • 1972 Sonett III on a tube chassis with 351 Ford with fuel injection and supercharged putting out over 500WHP.  Street legal & used for LEGAL sanctioned open road (highway) racing like the Silver State Challenge in Nevada with a confirmed trap speed of over 200MPH at the Big Bend Open Road Race in 2006 (Fort Stockton, Texas).  This car was donated by Paul Romano’s widow Judy of Dillon, Co.

  • 1974 Sonett III with 00044 actual miles!!  Yes 44 miles.

1989 900, 8 vavlve, 4 door in Red color with auto trans.  This car was donated to us by Lar Anderson for his mom.  The story made the front cover of “NINES”, May/June 2014 #329.  It was the “loaf of bread deal” when his mom bought it new.
